Understanding Analog Devices (ADI) Part Availability and Purchasing
Last updated: October 8, 2025
Analog Devices parts have specific purchasing restrictions within Cofactr due to company policies that limit sales to certain customer types. Here's what you need to know about ADI part availability and your purchasing options.
Current ADI Part Status
Analog Devices parts are generally not available for direct purchase through Cofactr's standard supplier network due to ADI's policy that restricts sales to end-users without proper authorization. However, there are several workarounds available:
Available Purchase Options
Independent Distributors: You can purchase ADI parts through Quest, LCSC, and other independent distributors that are available in Cofactr's network.
Buy and Drop Ship: Purchase ADI parts directly from authorized distributors like Digi-Key or Mouser and have them shipped to Cofactr for storage, kitting, and assembly.
Troubleshooting ADI Part Issues
If you're experiencing errors in the pricing solver, first check if there are any Analog Devices parts in your order. ADI parts are often the cause of purchasing errors. To resolve:
Remove any ADI parts from the pricing solver
Complete your order for the remaining parts
Handle ADI parts separately using one of the methods above
Setting Up Direct ADI Purchasing (coming soon!)
Direct Purchase Authorization: For some customers, Cofactr can set up direct purchasing from ADI. This requires signing a Letter of Authorization (LoA) that gets submitted to Analog Devices for approval. Once we are ready to purchase ADI direct, we will notify all customers!
