Changes to Parts

We've made some important improvements to how you work with parts in Cofactr.

As part of our ongoing platform enhancements, we've updated the parts experience with a more intentional approach to managing your parts.

What's Changed

Consolidated Parts Experience: Part Search and Part Library have been combined into one unified "Parts" app (located between Dashboard and BOMs). The separate Watchlist app has been deprecated.

Enhanced Part Organization:

• New part type indicators show whether you're looking at OTS parts, custom parts, services, or non-stocked materials

• Visual source icons replace text to show if parts are from Your Part Library, Cofactr Component Cloud, or both

• Streamlined part detail views with fewer tabs for easier navigation

Improved Search and Selection:

• Unified search at the top of the Parts app with options to search Your Part Library, Cofactr Component Cloud, or both

• Enhanced part picker appears when adding parts to BOMs with the same search functionality

• Create different part types using the "New Part" button with type-specific fields
