Inside Our Warehouses: Storage, Security, and Handling
Last updated: June 18, 2026
Here is a look at the Cofactr warehouses, how they are set up, and the work that happens behind the scenes.
Where your parts are stored
Everything we store is in one of our own warehouses. We do not use third party facilities, and you can always see exactly where your parts are inside the platform. Which facility your parts land in comes down to your preference:
CF-NY-1 at 630 Flushing Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11206
CF-CA-1 at 4007 Paramount Blvd, Unit 107/108, Lakewood, CA 90712
Security and monitoring
A lot of our customers work in industries where secure storage is not optional, so we treat every component that way. Every area where parts are handled or stored is under 24/7 surveillance and protected by dual-layer RFID access control. Environmental sensors run continuously. Visitors are registered, screened against restricted party lists, and escorted by a Cofactr employee the entire time they are on site.
Compliance and data
Cofactr is ITAR registered and compliant, and we run the facilities accordingly. A few specifics people tend to ask about:
ITAR registered and compliant
ANSI/ESD S20.20 compliant
Software and data hosted in AWS GovCloud
SOC 2 Type 2 certified
Environmental controls
We keep the storage environment within a controlled band and monitor it around the clock in both warehouse locations:
Humidity between 30% and 65%
Temperature between 50°F and 85°F
How we track and handle parts
Every stock lot is individually barcoded with its own serial number. Each customer's stock is kept physically separate from every other customer's, so there is no chance of two customers' parts getting mixed up. Every time a part moves, it gets scanned and recorded, and you can see that history in the platform.
ESD handling
Parts are only handled in ESD-controlled areas that meet ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards. Staff wear grounded footwear, wrist straps, and anti-static apparel. Any time a part leaves an ESD-controlled area to be moved or stored, it goes into ESD protective packaging first. Food and drink are never allowed in the areas where parts are handled.
Moisture Sensitive Components (MSL)
When moisture-sensitive parts arrive at our facility, we check them on intake. If a part comes in open or with a tripped humidity indicator card, it is flagged right away, and next steps are determined with you. Depending on your timeline, that could mean waiting for the bake to complete before shipping, or shipping as is.
Staff training
Cofactr employees go through regular training on IT and facility security, ESD safety, and ITAR procedures, so the people handling your parts know what they are doing.
Insurance
We carry Warehousemen Legal Liability Insurance, and as a courtesy we also insure business property owned by others (that is you) while it is at our facility. The default maximum is $10,000 per ESD bin, totaled across your bins. So four bins of parts comes to $40,000 of coverage. A bin is an ESD container measuring 20" x 15" x 6" that holds your stock lots.
