Digi-Key Integration Setup

Required Distributor Information:

  1. digikey.com login credentials (username and password)

  2. Digi-Key API client ID and client secret

  3. Digi-Key Ordering API integration config values for their Net Terms BillingAccount number and ShipControl preference (immediate or single)

Integration:

  1. If you don't have API credentials, please register via the Digi-Key Developer Platform. Access to Digi-Key’s Product Information and Ordering APIs are granted separately.

  2. Share Digi-Key API credentials.

    • We will need your digikey.com login credentials (username and password) for the account that we will be placing the orders through. The web login is used when generating the access token we use to authenticate with Digi-Key.

    • We will also need your API client ID and secret. The same set of credentials is used across all of Digi-Key’s API offerings.

  3. Get Digi-Key Ordering API integration config values.

    • We need your ShipControl preference (“Immediate” or “Single”) to handle out-of-stock products. “Immediate” means that stocked products will be immediately shipped and each backorder as soon as it is available. “Single” means that nothing will ship until all items are available. Note that currently, we default to “Immediate” in the KB API.

    • We need your Net Terms BillingAccount number.

  4. Once you have all your login credentials, API client ID and secret, your ShipControl preference and your Net Terms BillingAccount number, securely share them with success@cofactr.com using One-Time Secret.
